Who We Are

A community is healthiest when it feeds itself.

Augusta Locally Grown is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to growing the sustainable local-food community throughout the Central Savannah River Area. We accomplish this through farmers markets and educational programming — and 74% of our farms are women-owned/operated while 50% are veteran-owned. When you buy from ALG, you support a dynamic food force.

Our Story

From a pre-order market to the HUB

ALG started in 2008 as a tiny, women-led pre-order farmers market on the outskirts of Augusta, Georgia — at a time when there were no other markets in the area committed to local agriculture. Now in its 18th year, ALG is the region’s lead local-food economic driver, offering selling and business services to 60+ farmers and producers.
